Changemaker Evening: South Sudan

Welcome to our new Changemaker Evening in May!

Conflict, food shortages and a collapsing economy have forced millions to leave their homes in South Sudan since it gained its independence in 2011. In our next Changemaker Evening, we will take a closer look at South Sudan and its conflict since it hasn’t got media attention as much as other conflicts around the world.

Our honored guests are KUA’s Country Director for South Sudan, Seme Nelson, and Tuulia Kokkonen, Parish Fundraising and Theological Specialist. Seme will cover the background and current status of the conflict and discuss the role that hope and youth play in civil society. Tuulia has recently visited refugee camps in South Sudan and will share her own experiences.

Welcome to listen and discuss about South Sudan with our experts. The language of the event will be English.
